Everything in the Dodge Viper gives off the DNA of a sports car, from a long hood that hides a huge V10 engine to the rearward cabin and wide tires. When acceleration is pushed hard, the Viper sounds like a beast providing unbridled performance, and indeed, there is plenty of power under the Viper’s skin. The Dodge Viper is one of a few vehicles that rely heavily on the driver's ability to handle its raw power. Such an approach leads to certain compromises in regard to driving comfort. And despite the manufacturer made a huge leap forward with the Viper’s cabin refinement, its main rivals are still a few steps ahead in this respect. This two-seater went on sale in 1991, and over the years it has become one of the icons of American supercar family.

The Dodge Viper entered the 2016 model year pretty much unchanged. All its models have an 8.4-liter V10 engine under the hood that feeds power to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission. An automatic transmission is not available. The Viper accelerates to 60 mph in impressive 3.6 seconds. Apart from four trim levels that carried over from the previous year, the 2016 Dodge Viper got its track-focused ACR (American Club Racing) model back to the lineup. Dodge prioritizes weight reduction over abundance of equipment in the ACR’s design. That’s why the Viper’s cabin looks somewhat ascetic in this configuration, compared to other trims. On the other hand, the ACR benefits from carbon-fiber components such as front splitter or large rear wing that are designed to improve the vehicle’s aerodynamic properties.

Other trim levels include SRT, GT, GTC and GTS. The entry-level SRT features an auto-dimming rearview mirror, backup camera, keyless ignition and entry, and an 18/19 inch wheel combo wrapped in high-performance tires. The GT trim gets an updated, racier-looking hood, improved brake rotors, and interior enhancements such as a power-adjustable driver's seat and leather seat upholstery. The GTC steps up with a five-mode stability control system. The GTS swaps standard 18-inch front wheels to 19-inch ones and adds six more speakers to the 12-speaker Harman Kardon audio system. A superb 8.4-inch Uconnect infotainment system comes standard in all 2016 Dodge Viper models and provides access to SRT performance apps and navigation.

A Bit Steep On The Price
Lloyd® - Ultimat™ Custom Fit Floor Mats
They do look great. However, considering the price, I won't be purchasing the rear set. The back doesn’t need as much flair and I believe I can find a more budget-friendly option that will work just as well. All in all, the mats are excellent, but it’s a bit too pricey to have them all around.
