The Santa Fe, Hyundai's debut SUV offering, went on sale in 2000 as a 2001 model. Its third generation was unveiled in 2012 and added a new long-wheelbase three-row variant to the lineup, while the shorter five-seat version was rebadged to become the Santa Fe Sport. Both versions feature fancy styling and excellent utility and are therefore widely acclaimed by customers in the U.S. and worldwide. For 2017, the Santa Fe received a thorough mid-cycle styling update as well as a revised unibody construction and a bunch of technological amenities.
The Santa Fe's passenger capacity is determined by seat arrangement and can accommodate six or seven. But whereas the Santa Fe is designed to provide a decent amount of space for those occupying the first and second rows, compromised legroom in the third row might be a problem for tall passengers. The 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe is not intended to be a top-rated towing vehicle, but if you need to tow anything lighter than 5,000 pounds, this SUV is at your service. It can also haul impressive 80 cu. ft. of cargo behind the front row. However, this number shrinks to modest 13.5 cu. ft. if you need all seats unfolded. The long-wheelbase 2017 Santa Fe is set in motion by a 3.3-liter V6 that cranks out 290 horsepower and works in conjunction with a 6-speed automatic.
The 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport can seat up to five people in two rows. Despite its modest size, this SUV provides plenty of passenger space and allows you to fit 35.4 cu. ft. of cargo behind the backseat and haul 71 cu. ft. with the rear bench folded. This crossover comes with three trim levels and two engines to choose from. The base-level Santa Fe Sport gets power from a 2.4-liter inline-four motor that produces 285 horsepower. If you opt for a 2.0T or more advanced 2.0T Ultimate, your SUV will be powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter 240-horsepower inline-four.
The Santa Fe offers greater value than you can expect from an entry-level SUV. And the same applies to 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe accessories we offer at CARiD.
