Towing capacity is improved compared to the outgoing model and is now rated at 6,000 pounds.

The 2017 Nissan Pathfinder is available in a single powertrain configuration, that includes a revised 3.5-liter V6 engine with a direct injection system, mated to a CVT and front-wheel drive. The new setup cranks out 284 horsepower, which is 24 horsepower more than the previous-year Pathfinder. All-wheel drive with an HDC feature is optional.
