For Canada only, BMW issued the Alpina B7 Exclusive Edition of the BMW 7-Series available in three exterior colors: Black Sapphire Metallic, Individual Frozen Gray, and Frozen Black. Just seven cars of each color are built for a total of 21 vehicles. The ultra-exclusive Alpina B7 comes with the black 21’’ Alpina forged wheels and black chrome exterior accents. Inside, you can find BMW Individual Full Merino Leather with contrasting stitching that wraps not only the seats but also the dash, door panels, and the Alpina steering wheel. The exclusive edition is powered by a 4.4 twin-turbo V8 producing 600 hp. This super sedan goes from 0-60 mph in 3.7 seconds reaching the top speed of 197 mph.

The base version of the 2018 BMW 7-Series (740i) employs a 3.0 L turbo I6 with the total power output of 320 hp. The 750i model comes with a turbocharged 4.4 L V8 rated at 445 hp. The two can be fitted with either rear-wheel or all-wheel drive. The new 740e xDrive iPerformance utilizes a 2.0 L turbo I4 and electric motor generating 322 hp combined. The top-of-the-line variant, the M760i xDrive, employs a 6.6 L turbo V12 good for 601 hp, which accelerates the car to 60 mph in 3.6 seconds. Both new models are fitted with all-wheel drive. An 8-speed automatic is standard across the lineup.

The entry-level 740i model of the 2018 BMW 7-Series offers a wide range of standard features. It comes with an adaptive air suspension featuring driver-selectable modes, power trunklid, adaptive LED headlights, parking sensors, power-closing doors, and 19” alloy wheels. The interior of the car features a number of amenities as well, including a four-zone climate control, power-adjustable leather seats with 14 ways of adjusting and heating, and panoramic sunroof.
