The McLaren Senna, codenamed P15, entered the market for the 2019 model year as the new representative of the flagship Ultimate Series. Positioned as a successor of the famous P1, the new model borrows some components from the 720S – the engine and carbon-fiber chassis it is constructed on. The 2019 McLaren Senna comes with a potent 4.0 L twin-turbo V8 that delivers 789 hp. Even though this power unit develops less horsepower than the engine of the P1, it allows the new model to accelerate quicker than its predecessor. This result is achieved thanks to a significantly lighter body of the Senna that weighs 2,866 lb – more than 540 lb less than the body of the P1. The model comes with an aerodynamically shaped hood featuring new vents, flared wheel arches and pointy nose in the front and 3-pipe exhaust tips and large wing spoiler in the rear. Side mirrors were repositioned and made wider too. Unlike its predecessor, the new Senna comes with a 3-seat configuration, with the driver seat located right in the center of the car and two passenger seats placed on each side, toward the back.
