The Vantage returns for the 2020 model year with the new soft-top convertible and the limited-edition version. The latter gives an extra dose of excitement with not only a unique appearance but also a standard manual transmission. Only 200 examples of the Aston Martin Vantage AMG will be available, 59 of which will get a unique color and option combination which celebrates the brand’s 1959 Le Mans win. Each example got a number of uniquely designed 2020 Aston Martin Vantage accessories and parts that set them apart from a regular two-seater sports car. The all-new Aston’s model gets power from the same twin-turbo 4.0 L V8 engine generating about 503 HP and producing 461 lb. ft. of torque. For the first time, this Mercedes-AMG-sourced motor comes paired with a stick. That seven-speed manual was developed by Graziano and introduced several years ago.
Switching to a manual transmission allowed for reducing the overall weight. To make the car even lighter, the automaker equipped it with carbon-ceramic brakes. As a result, it weighs about 209 pounds less than a standard model. However, it still retains a perfect 50/50 weight distribution that guarantees excellent balance. The newbie is claimed to sprint from zero to 60 mph in 3.9 seconds and has a top speed of about 195 mph. It’s worth mentioning that the regular Vantage is slightly quicker with its 0-60 mph time of just 3.5 seconds. In addition to a new transmission, the limited-edition model also got a number of reworked 2020 Aston Martin Vantage parts and accessories under its skin and revised systems to ensure the highest level of driving pleasure. Thus, it gains a new adaptive damping system with three available drive modes. In addition, the 2020 model got a limited-slip differential which enhances handling and a driver-selectable AMSHIFT system which ensures minimal interruption and great smoothness in acceleration.
On the styling side of things, the newcomer comes with a handful of new 2020 Aston Martin Vantage parts and accessories like carbon fiber vents on the hood and sides. It got many standard features including sport bucket seats, exhaust with quad pipes, etc. that are optional on a regular model. Topping it all off are the new 20-inch forged aluminum wheels. Interior wise, the coupe got a number of special color schemes. The all-new roadster version differs from the regular Vantage in a number of styling and mechanical tweaks. With the obvious exception of the soft-top roof, it stands out with a uniquely designed rear end and trunk lid. It also features a glass wind deflector that reduces air turbulence and allows the occupants to continue a conversation even at high speeds. There are also headrest support bars that provide roll-over protection. Aside from the all-new edition and roadster model, the 2020 Aston Martin Vantage returns as a carryover model from the previous year. However, it is claimed to get a manual transmission as an option for the next model year.
