This year, the Jaguar F-Type debuts with an angrier-looking front end, updated infotainment system, and a revised V8 engine. Although the sports car got a wide range of changes, proportionally, it looks a whole lot like the outgoing model. But it differentiates itself with some new or revised exterior parts including narrow headlights that consist of four separate LED components. There are also LED DRLs beneath. The new headlights are mounted lower than those on the 2020 Jaguar F-Type which makes the newbie look wider and more aggressive. What’s more, they now have a horizontal orientation instead of a vertical one. The car also received a more flowing front end highlighted by a larger grille. In addition to all the above-mentioned stylish updates, the newcomer also got deeper lower side intakes and slightly reshaped tail lights. There are also many minor exterior changes. Owners who want to add custom touches to their sports car can turn to the aftermarket full of 2021 Jaguar F-Type accessories and parts.
Once inside the cabin, the first thing you’ll notice is a 12.3-inch digital instrumental cluster instead of the traditional analog gauges. The infotainment system has a ten-inch center touchscreen and comes standard with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It drives the latest version of JLR InControl Pro infotainment software. Most of the interior design is unchanged. Just like before, the cabin is well-appointed and adorned with many distinctive accessories. On the mechanical side of things, the sports car continues with three models, each with its own powertrain. The base version is powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-4 engine producing 296 horsepower. This year, it’s the only engine option. The previously optional V6 generating 340 horsepower was dropped. The entry-level F-Type is rear-wheel drive. It sprints to 60 mph in 5.4 seconds.
The P300 First Edition is based on the P300 R-Dynamic that brings a 3.0-liter V6 capable of pushing out 380 horsepower. This version is all-wheel drive exclusively. It’s 0.5 ticks quicker than the entry-level model. The First Edition adds the Exterior Design Pack along with uniquely-designed 20-inch wheels to it. The R tops the lineup with the most power. This year, it got an improved supercharged 5.0-liter V8 engine. This mill now makes 575 horsepower and propels the car to 60 mph in 3.5 seconds. All F-Type coupes and convertibles are equipped with an eight-speed automatic transmission. This year, they also received a revised suspension for a more pleasant and comfortable driving experience. Those who want to get the most out of their coupe or convertible can upgrade it with 2021 Jaguar F-Type parts and accessories from the aftermarket.
This year, the automaker celebrates the anniversary of the E-Type by releasing the Heritage 60 Edition. The new model is based on the R model, which means it shares its powertrain. It can be had as both a coupe and a convertible and is limited to just 60 examples. As far as the exterior is concerned, it is finished in Sherwood Green, the paint that has been optional on Jaguar vehicles since the 1960s. Aside from that, it sits on unique gloss-black 20-inchers which are complemented by black brake calipers. The interior features two-tone Caraway and Ebony Windsor leather upholstery and a specially designed logo stitched into the headrests.
