It is capable of pushing out 472 horsepower and is mated to either a standard Tremec six-speed manual or optional ten-speed automatic transmission. This model is exclusively rear-wheel-drive. As far as chassis is concerned, it received larger brake rotors both up front and on the rear than those found on its successor along with advanced magnetorheological dampers.

The CT4-V Blackwing also sports Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires that wrap around 18-inch rims with a staggered-width setup.
