Custom seat covers have been individually designed to fit a particular year, make, and model of a vehicle. They should provide an exact, glove-like fit for your vehicle's seats.
A Coverking Custom Seat Cover is created through computer aided designs as well as computer aided manufacturing process so that it fits perfectly on the car or SUV’s factory installed seats. Also, Coverking Custom Fit seat covers are made-to-measure, which means that they have been created strictly in accordance with the make, model and year of manufacture of each vehicle. They even have appropriate space left for Side Impact Airbags for cars or SUVs where these are installed.
A universal seat cover has been designed to fit a wide range of seats. Generally, a universal seat cover will not provide a tight fit like Coverking's custom seat covers will. Universal covers function more as a protective drape over your car seats rather than an exact-fitting custom addition.
Yes! Coverking sells ultimate Custom Seat Covers with all headrests, armrests, console covers for split benches, map pockets, airbag provisions, seat adjustment cutouts INCLUDED.
There is no extra charge - Coverking only sells Custom Seat Covers one way - complete. Beware of low priced "Custom" Seat Covers which then charge extra for a headrest, armrest, console cover, etc. - Some companies even charge extra for airbag cut outs! Coverking includes everything you will need for a single low price. Coverking Custom Seat Covers are sold by the row - a two seat sports car will have 1 row, a typical family sedan has 2 rows, and a minivan or large SUV has 3 rows.
Coverking uses advanced technology and production automation to produce superior fitting seat covers, complete with all extras, at some of the most competitive prices in the market.
No. All Coverking products are made from materials that are suitable for automotive applications. In some cases they have specifically designed the fabrics for their applications. They are designed to provide you with all the qualities you expect from an OE fabric (durability and fade resistance etc.), however, they will not be an exact match to your original material. They are intened to COMPLEMENT your vehicle’s interior, not be an exaxct match to it.
Coverking reputedly manufactures some of the toughest seat covers that can tackle damages caused by our canine friends. As a matter of fact, there are seat covers that offer unique blockage against dog hair, gouges from claws or talons, slobber and other pet hazards. Coverking would recommend their Ballistic material for use with pets.
Yes, Coverking offers both Memory Foam and Seat Heaters for their range of seat covers. You can add either of these options to your order when you place it.
No, but it is possible to buy cover bags and lock cable kit for best price.
A Coverking Car Cover offers many advantages – here are a few of them:
Coverking set out to create a superior Custom Car Covers in fit, material properties, looks, strength and features. Coverking Custom Car Covers protect the vehicle interior from fading, block prying eyes from seeing what’s inside the car (and acting as a theft deterrent) and help the environment by reducing the need for car washing. Some Coverking materials can prevent minor nicks, scratches and even small hail damage. Coverking Custom Car Covers are a great way to protect vehicles parked at airports or near industrial sites. In very sunny climates, they keep the interior cooler and in winter they keep the snow off the glass. And because Coverking insists on using the fewest seams, Coverking Custom Car Covers look great!
Car Covers use a lot of material, - 30 yards is common for most vehicles. In an effort to save material, some car cover manufactures use patterns which are “chopped up” into small pieces, and sewn together creating a patchwork effect. This method saves more than 20% of total material use, but results in car covers which look like patchwork quilts – seams everywhere. By having extra seams, risks of seam failures and seam leakage increase. In addition, the car cover looses it’s custom look and resembles a universal cover. Coverking has never compromised the function or fit of it’s Custom Car Covers to save a few yards of fabric.
Coverking's fewest seams construction results in better fitting, better looking custom car covers. The fewer seams also result in less chance of leaks from the seams and ripping at the seams. The only disadvantage of Coverking's construction is that it uses significantly more fabric to make the custom car cover. By "chopping up" a car cover into a patchwork, other cover manufacturers gain significant cost savings - but they produce an inferior product for their customers.
Coverking produces what it believes are the best products in the market. With Custom Car Covers, Coverking examined the wide selection of fabrics offered and felt Coverking's engineers could design a superior material. Test results show Coverking's fabrics to be superior in areas of fabric breathability, water resistance, and abrasion resistance. Coverking chooses to fund engineering and design of fabrics instead of marketing of fabrics. Unfortunately, some companies choose to sell snake oil over investing the time and expense of a proper education.
Custom Car Covers: Custom Car Covers are made specifically to ONE specific vehicle. Many times, several Custom pattern variations are offered for a vehicle - for example; if a vehicle has a rear spoiler, a GPS antenna, etc.
Coverking Custom Car Covers are created through computer aided designs as well as computer aided manufacturing process so that it fits perfectly on the car, truck, or SUV. Because each fabric has different stiffness and stretch, each pattern is modified for the type of fabric used - resulting in well over 100,000 patterns. Because of the wide selection of patterns, fabrics and colors, Coverking has no stock. Beware of companies selling a custom cover from stock - most likely, it is not a true custom fit.
Generally, most custom fit covers have mirror pockets and the cover is cut and sewn to fit your particular model, whereas, semi-custom fit covers can be sloppy fitting with no mirror pockets. Also, there are many more fabric choices available in the custom fit format. The bottom line is, custom fit covers protect and fit much better than semi-custom or universal fit covers.
Universal Car Covers: Universal car covers are usually mass produced, in around three to five sizes, and are supposed to suit all cars or SUVs with these three to five sizes. Obviously, with the small number of sizes, the fit of a universal car cover to this wide range of vehicles will not be anywhere near as “snug” as a custom cover would be. An objective that is absolutely unrealistic.
Coverking has available a Lock and Cable Kit to help prevent your Coverking Car Cover being stolen or blown away. Coverking’s Lock and Cable Kit can be ordered separately or with your Coverking Car Cover.
You can also have your name, or your license plate number, embroidered on your Coverking Car Cover. Having your name embroidered on your Coverking Car Cover actually works better than having your license plate number embroidered on the cover as it is more specific to an individual rather than to a vehicle.
All Coverking outdoor Custom Car Cover materials are breathable – this allows moisture which is trapped under the car to escape through the cover, preventing a “greenhouse” condition of condensation which may result in damage to your vehicle. If a car cover is waterproof, any condensation or moisture will stay trapped under the cover and cause bacteria to grow more rapidly and eventually lead to oxidation and rust. This can cost hundreds of dollars to repair and can be easily avoided by covering your car with a breathable material such as Coverking’s outdoor Car Covers. Beware of covers that claim to be waterproof – a waterproof car cover can damage your vehicle. A car cover should be water resistant, to keep the vehicle from getting wet from dew or moisture, but not waterproof (or rainproof).
All car covers will fade with time, but remember they are protecting your vehicles paint and finish. All of Coverking’s Outdoor Car Cover fabrics are UV-treated to resist fading, but eventually all fabrics used outside will fade.
Yes, Coverking Custom Car Covers are supplied with a grommet for an antenna, where appropriate. Coverking does not add antenna pockets to many of Coverking custom car fit covers because the pocket could actually cause damage to the antenna, especially in high wind situations or excessive fabric weight on thin, fragile antennas. A small percentage of vehicle applications call for antenna pockets sewn onto the cover because the antenna is non-removable and are generally small enough to be covered without being damaged.Generally, you will receive a two-piece, non-scratch, plastic grommet with your Custom Car Cover that can be used on the cover to help reinforce the area where you can slide the antenna through.
Installation of the grommet is simple and only takes a few minutes - Here's how you install the two-piece antenna grommet on your cover:
The plastic grommet will hold the fabric tight and keep the hole from enlarging or ripping. When installing your Coverking Car Cover after the grommet is installed, start by placing your antenna inside the grommet, then fold the sides over the mirror pockets, followed by securing the front and rear of the Coverking Car Cover to your vehicle. To remove your Coverking Car Cover, just reverse the process.
Coverking's Spacer Mesh™ material is a value priced material that is surprisingly one of the best fitting fabrics for seat covers. The unique mesh design is porous, so this is not the choice for liquid repellence. However, what Spacer Mesh lacks in liquid repellence is more than made up for in ventilation. Spacer Mesh is an excellent choice for seats with active cooling, and for use in hot and humid conditions. The unique spacer material cushions the occupant while allowing air to circulate from behind, helping to lessen or prevent perspiration after those long road trips. Unique and sporty two-tone color combinations, along with the excellent fit, great value and easy installation, make this one of Coverking most popular seat cover choices.
To clean Spacer Mesh Seat Covers, simply remove them and hand wash with a very mild detergent such as Woolite. Air dry, do not machine dry. Do not use an iron.
Coverking's Cotton Seat Cover material is a value priced material that is a great all-round material for seat covers. The unique properties of Cotton - excellent feel, good fit and durability combined with a fair amount of protection. Cotton is available in several colors and is a great choice for families with kids, pets, and active lives.
To clean Cotton Seat Covers, simply remove them and hand wash with a very mild detergent such as Woolite. Air dry, do not machine dry.
Coverking's Ballistic™ Custom Seat Covers are made from the same super tough material used in soft-sided luggage. It is designed to protect for years, protecting the original seats from all the toughest life can throw at them; Sliding in and out with tools in the back pocket, sharp dog and cat claws, kids throwing food and drink, and other hazards that would cause a vehicle owner to cringe. Available in 3 popular colors, Ballistic material is the best choice for protecting under harsh conditions - however, be aware that there is a trade off in fit. Ballistic seat covers won't fit as well as some of Coverking stretchable, more compliant materials such as Genuine CR-grade Neoprene. However, if you are looking for the ultimate protection, Ballistic should be at the top of your list.
To clean Ballistic material, simply remove them and hand wash with a very mild detergent such as Woolite. Air dry, do not machine dry. Do not use an iron.
Coverking's Neosupreme Custom Seat Covers are made from the same style materials used in their Genuine CR-Grade Neoprene covers, minus the actual neoprene rubber material. Unfortunately, some companies sell Neosupreme as if it were Genuine CR-Grade Neoprene - it is not. Neosupreme is a stylish material, but does not have the extra layer of genuine neoprene rubber. What it lacks in layers it makes up for in value, since Neosupreme offers the same style and a far reduced cost. Neosupreme is a perfect choice for people looking for an all-round material with great style. It will not stand up to the same level of abuse as genuine neoprene or other materials will, but will certainly be able to protect from minor spills and abrasion.
To clean Neosupreme, simply remove them and hand wash with a very mild detergent such as Woolite. Air dry, do not machine dry. Do not use an iron.
Step back to days in the wild west with Coverking's Saddleblanket Seat Covers - the same style and feel of genuine Saddleblanket material, with a modern Neotex accent on the sides. Saddleblanket has a unique look and offers the feel of riding with the extra thick saddleblanket fibers. Saddleblanket will stand up to moderate abuse, is very breathable but should not be counted on to block fluid spills or pets with claws.
To clean Saddleblanket Seat Covers, simply remove them and hand wash with a very mild detergent such as Woolite. Air dry, do not machine dry. Do not use an iron. Take extra care with the thick Saddleblanket fibers.
You simply will not believe it is not leather! Coverking's Leatherette™ is extremely leather like, often fooling people for the real thing. Leatherette offers several advantages over genuine leather - price, durability, and ease of care. Leatherette is actually very durable and stands up to harsher conditions than Saddleblanket, Neosupreme and even Genuine Neoprene materials. It is very soft to the touch and has a great look once installed. Clean up can usually be accomplished with a sponge and good leather/vinyl cleaner, negating the need of a washing machine.
There is no alternative to genuine, wet-suit quality CR-Grade Neoprene. The stylish looks, comfortable cushioning feel and perfect fit sets Genuine CR-Grade Neoprene on a different level. Unfortunately many seat cover companies sell a look-alike material as if it were neoprene - if you were lucky enough to purchase a Coverking Genuine CR-Grade Neoprene Seat Cover, you can rest assured you've purchased one of the best materials for fit, comfort and style. Durability is above average but not up to the levels of Ballistic or Leatherette.
Cleaning & Maintenance
Wet suit shampoo is specifically designed for cleaning and conditioning neoprene products. Cleaning with wet suit shampoo removes organic residue, micro-organisms and salt deposits that contribute to the deterioration of neoprene. Wet suit shampoo can also help prevent excessive drying, premature aging and oxidation of neoprene products.
You can wash the seat covers while they are still on the vehicle. Use water with the wet suit shampoo as directed by the wet suit shampoo manufacturer. Use a lint-free cloth and wash your seat covers. Rinse your seat covers with fresh water and pat dry with a towel.
What’s the difference and why does is it important to you? It is important because you, the customer, can unknowingly end up paying a lot more for seat covers that do not offer the same level of water penetration protection as you think you are ordering. Coverking's goal is to help educate you so you can avoid that scenario.
CR-Grade is a expensive rubber material that is often used in high-end surfing wetsuits. Many retailers are misrepresenting their so called neoprene seat covers and actually selling a cheaper product for nearly the same cost as Coverking CR Grade Neoprene seat covers. The facts are that many seat covers are being sold under a variety of terms such as "Snugfit", "Neoprene", "Wetsuit" and "Waterproof". However, in many instances these seat covers do not utilize any "CR-Grade" Neoprene at all!
The fact is, many so called "waterproof" or "neoprene" seat covers are actually made from a fabric called "neotex" or “neosupreme” which is used in some, or all the panels of their seat covers. These type of seat covers are not CR-Grade Neoprene. CR-Grade Neoprene seat covers have a expensive CR-Grade Neoprene inner layer with an outer layer top fabric. This CR-Neoprene inner layer is not seen when the seat covers are installed and affords the most waterproof protection available.
Many retailers who are actually selling lower grade neotex or neosupreme seat covers as CR-Grade Neoprene despite the fact that their seat covers do not use any CR-Grade Neoprene in the seat cover.
Coverking’s Genuine CR-Grade Neoprene Seat Covers use genuine CR-Grade Neoprene - not a lower grade. CR-Grade is a expensive rubber material that is often used in high-end surfing wetsuits. It has great water resistance and a pleasing, cushion feel. Genuine CR-Grade Neoprene Custom Seat Covers can be easily spot cleaned or hand washed and air dried. Several two tone colors, including Hawaiian Prints. CR-Grade Neoprene is the best choice for active lifestyles. They are also the easiest seat covers to install.
Coverking's Neosupreme Custom Seat Covers are made from the same stylish materials used in their Genuine CR-Grade Neoprene covers, minus the actual neoprene rubber material. What it lacks in layers it makes up for in value, since Neotex offers the same style and a far reduced cost. Neosupreme is a perfect choice for people looking for an all-round material with great style. It will not stand up to the same level of abuse as genuine neoprene or other materials will, but will certainly be able to protect from minor spills and abrasion.
The fact is, if a company is not specifically noting "Geniune CR-Grade Neoprene" in their seat cover description, there is a reason why that is not being stated. What is being advertised may actualy be a lower line product, otherwise they would clearly advertise their product as Genuine CR-Grade Neoprene.
Coverking offers a wide selection of fabrics, many of them specifically engineered to suit these unique requirements of an automotive car cover. Their different fabrics offer different levels of protection and performance - some focus on protecting from a specific element, like sun exposure or other weather conditions, while others keep your vehice clean and free from dust or dirt.
The qualities that make a Car Cover suitable for use depend largely on the fabric properties. Coverking designs it’s own fabrics, and has the world’s leading textile mills handle the manufacturing. Because Coverking has a team of engineers to specify exact material composition and construction, they are able to meet the most stringent material test requirements set out by the world’s leading vehicle manufacturers. Coverking does not use “off-the-shelf” fabrics, which are ill-suited to car cover needs. All Coverking outdoor Custom Car Cover materials are breathable – this allows moisture which is trapped under the car to escape through the cover, preventing a “greenhouse” condition of condensation which may result in rust damage. Coverking pioneered colored materials and two tone designs for outdoor use. Unlike other car covers, Coverking Custom Car Covers are designed to withstand the color fading effects of the sun.
Satin Stretch™ is truly a material with no equal.
HISTORY and DEVELOPMENT
Coverking used to offer a heavy, 100% cotton flannel fabric. Unfortunately the material would leave lint on many vehicles, especially those with convertible tops. However there was a strong demand from customers of special custom or exotic vehicles to have a sexy, ultra-soft fabric in several matching colors. After regular brain storming session, they approached the fabric mills who made some of the finest lingerie in the industry - they asked them if they could add a special soft inner fleece liner to the fabric, and strengthen the material without losing the softness, shine, and stretch. What they came out with is amazing. Since the initial release of Satin Stretch, they've gone a step further and invested their own money to help the fabric mill prepare a special 78" width fabric - this allows almost all patterns to be made with 4 fewer seams, resulting in a purer, uninterrupted fit. They also re-made patterns for virtually all vehicles in pattern library to accomodate the extra stretch properties of the material.
MATERIAL and CONSTRUCTION
To date, thousands of the finest cars in the world are looking as good than when they are uncovered, thanks to Coverking's Custom Satin Stretch Covers recently some unfortunate companies have chosen to purchase a polyester version of this fabric in a 60 inch width - the material they use has nowhere near the shine, softness or stretch of Coverking pure nylon material, but is advertised similarly.
Satin Stretch is for indoor use only, and will fade if kept in the direct sun. To clean, Coverking suggest dry cleaning only. Spot stains can be cleaned with a very diluted mix of Woolite and water.
Coverguard™ is a budget fabric used by Coverking for an entry level universal car covers. The technical name of this material is Spunbond Polyester. The specification Coverking uses for Coverguard™ is:
MATERIAL
Coverking uses spunbond polyester. Most competitors use spunbond polypropylene. Polyropylene is inherently less UV resistant and is more likely to degrade with exposure to UV rays emitted from the sun. Coverking also adds additional UV retardant, which ensures even longer stability in the sun. Finally, Coverking insists on 85 gram per square meter - far thicker than the usual 70 gram used by most competitors.
CONSTRUCTION
Coverking uses wax coated thread in overlapped, double stitched seams. The wax coating expands in the pierced hole created during the stitching process, to help cover the hole. Once again, some competitors take the cheaper route by using an ultra-sonic welding of the material instead of sewing. This process is far cheaper, because it melts the fabric layers together. It also doesn't use any thread. Unfortunately, the area melted together becomes very hard and examples of scratching the vehicle surface are not uncommon.
CARE and CLEANING
Coverguard™ can be easily cleaned by washing while on a vehicle. Use common carwash detergent, and air dry.
Triguard™ is a value fabric used by Coverking for mid level universal car covers and entry level custom car covers. The technical name of this material is Spunbond Polyester laminated to Meltblown Polypropylene laminated to Spunbond Polyester. The specification Coverking uses for Triguard™ is far superior to other 3 layer car cover materials available.
MATERIAL
Coverking uses spunbond polyester for both outer layers. Most competitors use spunbond polypropylene. Polyropylene is inherently less UV resistant and is more likely to degrade with exposure to UV rays emitted from the sun. Coverking also adds additional UV retardant, which ensures even longer stability in the sun. Finally, Coverking insists on the heaviest inner and outer layer materials. Most other companies use materials about 15% lighter than Coverking.

Silverguard™ is a great all-weather fabric used by Coverking for custom car covers. Silverguard™ is a special woven polyester fabric made with 300 denier yarn (twice as thick as similar fabrics) with a thick, silver reflective urethane coating on the outside. The polyester material is non-scratch and the urethane outer coating should withstand extreme sun for years.
MATERIAL
Coverking developed Silverguard™ to address the middle-market with special consideration for sunny climates. Silverguard is also fairly compact and water resistant, so it is a great all-round cover.

Mosom Plus™ is a revolutionary premium all-weather fabric used by Coverking for custom car covers. The technical name of this material is Spunbond Polyester laminated to 1 layers of Meltblown Polypropylene laminated to a special micro porous film laminated to Spunbond Polyester. The specification Coverking uses for Mosom Plus™ is far superior to other polypropylene based materials.

Coverking developed Mosom Plus™ in-house. They purchase the film and separate layers, then have a laminating company fuse them together. Stormproof™ is a revolutionary premium all-weather fabric used by Coverking for custom car covers. Stormproof™ is a special ultra-densely woven polyester fabric. Microfibers are used to create a super-tight, super dense weave that allows air to pass through, but is too tightly woven to allow water molecules to pass. Other fabrics on the market have the same 'breathable' quality, but achieve it through treatments or coatings. Stormproof™ is un-treated, un-coated - so it will always be water repellant and breathable (coated or treated fabrics will lose their breathability after the coating is worn off).
MATERIAL
Coverking developed Stormproof™ in-house. They first made the specification and assembled several tests to benchmark their desire for Stormproof - that was the easy part. Finding a mill that was capable of weaving such a dense fabric was tougher. After months of trial and error, the mill achieved their desire - and Stormproof™ has been protecting vehicles ever since.

Autobody Armor™ is an exclusive fabric for car covers, combining some of the super custom stretch fit of Coverking's Satin Stretch™ Covers with the water repellence of Coverking's Stormproof™material. No other car cover is able to provide such a combination. After receiving several requests, Coverking took the challenge of combining fit with outdoor protection, and they feel they succeeded - the ultimate proof is the numerous accolades from customers using Autobody Armor™ in the real world.
MATERIAL
Coverking developed Autobody Armor™ in-house. Unlike Stormproof™, Autobody Armor is a laminate of polyester, lycra™, microporus film and a soft liner. The trick was perfecting the laminating process, to keep the layers together while maintaining water resistance. It is much more art than science, and hasn't been equaled yet.

Place the back rest portion over the top of the seat. Pull down all the way so that there is no gap between the cover and the seat. Once you have the cover on the backrest you can run the straps under the seat cushion attach straps and tighten. Place the cushion cover over the seat cushion and tilt the lean back towards the rear row. Tuck all access material in between the cushion and lean back to secure the cover and move lean back to desired location.
A folding flat passenger seat is when your passenger seat folds forward flat 90 degrees to make a flat surface, like a desk.
It depends on the application. Either way you are guaranteed a perfect fit from Coverking.
Some seat covers are designed as a one piece cover. To install these you will first need to pull the lean back portion all the way over and down the seat. Then you will run the straps in between the cushion and lean back. Attach the strap clips together and tighten pull strap. Tilt the lean back all the way towards the rear row and tuck all excess material in between the cushion and lean back and return backrest to desired position.
For front seats, no. Some rear seat benches may need to be taken out in order to attach straps. Most rear bench seats can be removed by lifting up using force near the front (where your knees rest) to release the anchors. Some seats have a small plastic release lever located in the same position.
On specific models, their seat covers may require you to undo the carpet "flap" located at the bottom of the back of the seat. To do so you must un-attach two clips located underneath the bottom seat cushion creating a carpet flap. Once done, you can fold the flap up and tuck it into the seat cover and to attach the hook and loop fastener to the Coverking seat cover.
Vehicles that have a center console cover will require more force to close the lid all the way. In order for the pattern to accommodate the console they have to add elastic straps which will interfere with the closing of the lid. You must just use a little more force to close the lid all the way, but with time and use the console lid will become easier to close.
In general, installation is relaatively easy. Coverking Seat Covers simply slide over the seats and are held down with Velcro, hooks or straps that attach under the seat and are not visible from the outside. The front seat covers are easier to install than rear seat covers because front seats are more easily accessible. Typical installation on front seat covers take around 20-30 minutes. Rear seat in a car may require removal of the seats to install the seat covers. Rear seats on SUVs, require the shortest installation time. Detailed instructions are always included with your Coverking Seat Covers.
No, you do not need to remove your seats to install most Coverking Seat Covers. All front seat applications can be installed without removing the seats. It is often helpful to “unhook” the flap that joins the seat back to the seat bottom, but they do not need to be removed. For rear seats, it actually helps with the installation process (and provides a better fit) if the bottom section of the rear seat is removed, the seat cover installed, and then the seat bottom re-installed.
Detailed instructions are always included with your Coverking Seat Covers.
