The first all-electric pickup to drive on U.S. roadways is an impressive offering in all respects. With at least 300 miles of driving range, supercar-like 0-60 mph times, a combination of on-road comfort and off-road performance, and unique storage areas, it is unlike anything else on the market today. This setup also enables a Tank Turn feature, which allows the truck to spin around on flat, slippery surfaces. Providing juice to the motors is a standard 135-kWh or optional 180-kWh battery pack, rated at about 300 and 400 miles per charge, respectively. The truck comes with an adjustable air suspension that can increase the ground clearance to 14 inches, up from 8 inches. Equip your R1T with the right towing accessories and it will pull up to 11,000 pounds.

Aside from a heavily loaded Launch Edition, the 2022 R1T is available in the base Explore and mid-range Adventure trim levels. By default, the truck is nicely equipped, featuring heated front seats, a manual tonneau cover, a sunroof, and a 16-inch infotainment touchscreen. The Adventure adds an electrically-operated tonneau cover, a premium sound system, and wood accents in the cabin, among other goodies. In addition to a capacious frunk, the Rivian comes with a unique storage space behind the cab named Gear Tunnel. It can be equipped with a modular Camp Kitchen system with an electric stove, a sink, and drawers, all of which can be removed should you need to use this space for cargo transportation.
